I saw Professor Jeeva today for a consultation regarding lower blephoroplasty. I was made very welcome and put at ease. The procedure was explained to me and I was encouraged to ask as many questions I wanted. I wasn't made to feel rushed or pressured into anything and left feeling that if I do decide to proceed I will be in safe hands.
Alison SmithMy mum Maureen Astles had a Zoom consultation with Mr Jeeva this morning. What a lovely surgeon he was helpful informative and such a nice smile putting her totally at ease. She is now looking forward to meeting him in person for surgery as she knows she will be in the best hands for a successful outcome.
Catherine AstlesI would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to Mr Jeeva, my surgeon and all the doctors and staff at the centre. The care I received from start to finish was exceptional. I felt at ease and was reassured throughout the procedure, feeling safe the entire time. I cannot thank you enough and will definitely be recommending your services to family and friends.
Denise DouthwaiteWhat Is Browpexy (Brow Lift)?
As we age, our eyebrows tend to sag and forehead wrinkles appear, leading to a heavier and more tired look.
Browpexy (Brow Lift) is a simple surgical procedure that precisely lifts the eyebrows into a more youthful position and smooths out forehead creases.
This procedure not only restores a more alert and younger look but also improves facial symmetry and contours that add to your natural beauty.

Why Choose Browpexy?
Long-Lasting Results
While ageing is a natural process, Browpexy results can be long-lasting, often improving the appearance of the eyebrows and forehead for 5 years or more.
Minimally Invasive
Compared to traditional surgeries, Browpexy can be performed using minimally invasive techniques, reducing recovery time and discomfort.
Suitable for Most
Browpexy can be safely performed on most healthy individuals with minimal risk of complications. A consultation with a qualified surgeon is recommended to discuss individual suitability.
Why Should You Consider Browpexy (Brow Lift)?
What to Expect
From initial consultation through to recovery, here is what your browpexy journey looks like at The Eye Doctor.
Initial Consultation
Schedule with our Consultant Oculoplastic Surgeon. The brow position, eyelid contribution, and overall facial symmetry will be assessed to determine whether browpexy alone or browpexy combined with blepharoplasty is the right approach.
Consultation Details
Thorough assessment of brow position, degree of ptosis, skin laxity, and upper field visual obstruction. Photographs taken for planning. Discussion of realistic outcomes and technique selection.
The Procedure
Local anaesthetic administered. Small incision made in or above the upper eyelid crease. The brow tissue is elevated and sutured to a fixed point above (typically the orbital rim periosteum). Wound closed with fine sutures, hidden in the crease.
The Techniques
The brow is elevated and secured via incisions inside the upper eyelid crease — most commonly used when combined with blepharoplasty.
Skin excision directly above the brow to achieve lift — used when a more significant elevation is needed.
Uses small scalp incisions and a camera to lift the brow — suitable for patients needing a greater degree of elevation.
Post-Procedure Care
Same-day discharge. Mild swelling, bruising, and brow heaviness expected for 1–2 weeks. Cold compresses recommended. Prescribed antibiotic ointment. Keep incisions clean and dry. Avoid bending or strenuous activity for two weeks.
Risks and Complications
Low-risk procedure in experienced hands. Small risks include bruising, swelling, infection, asymmetry, over- or under-correction, and in rare cases temporary forehead numbness or hairline changes.
Post-Surgery Follow-Up
Follow-up appointment approximately 7–10 days post-surgery to review healing and remove sutures.

Browpexy FAQs
Browpexy is typically performed under anaesthesia, so discomfort during the procedure is minimal. Some patients may experience discomfort or tightness afterwards, which can be managed with pain medication prescribed by your doctor.
The results of a brow lift can last about 2 to 5 years. However, this varies from person to person, depending on lifestyle, ageing, and endurance.
A local anaesthetic is used during the procedure to ensure your comfort. Sometimes the doctor may use general anaesthesia to put you to sleep.
The recovery time for Browpexy varies, but most patients can expect it to be within 1–2 weeks.
You can expect mild pain following the Browpexy.
